About a month ago my employers asked me to complete a process called ‘Strengthsfinder 2.0’. At the time I wasn’t too sure exactly what it was or even why they wanted me to do it so, I thought I’d do a bit of research. That was when I first came across this quote:

Alcohol abuse not only affects employees who drink heavily, but their co-workers as well, say researchers Michael Livingston and Caroline Dale.
In a study that took “a new perspective” on the cost of alcohol in the workplace, the researchers surveyed nearly 1700 workers about their colleagues’ drinking.
Almost a third of workers reported having one or more co-workers who were heavy drinkers. Some also reported covering for their colleagues, with extra hours worked averaging 48 per year.
